1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JunkNot ("the App"), operated by JunkNot ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

2. Description of Service

JunkNot is a notification management application that helps Android users block unwanted spam notifications. The App intercepts notifications using Android's Notification Listener Service to identify and suppress promotional or spam-type notifications based on user-defined rules and AI classification.

JunkNot offers:

• Free tier: Manual notification blocking via swipe gesture, local junk folder, weekly summary
• Pro tier: AI-powered automatic blocking, cloud sync, full archive, weekly AI reports

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use JunkNot. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. User Accounts

Account creation is optional for free users. If you create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Pro Subscription

JunkNot Pro is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($34.99/year) subscription, processed through Google Play billing.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will be charged through your Google Play account. Prices are in USD and may vary by region.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until the end of the paid period.

5.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy. We may offer refunds at our discretion for technical issues that prevent the App from functioning as described. Contact us at support@junknot.app for refund requests.

5.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use JunkNot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App to intercept notifications for any purpose other than personal spam management
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access controls
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or networks
• Share, sell, or transfer your account to another person
• Use automated tools to interact with the App

7. Notification Listener Permission

JunkNot requires Android's Notification Listener permission to provide its core service. By granting this permission you acknowledge that:

• JunkNot will have access to notification metadata on your device
• JunkNot will dismiss notifications that match your block rules
• You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings
• Revoking the permission will prevent the App from functioning

We use this permission solely to provide the notification blocking service as described. We do not use it to collect personal data beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, code, and AI models, are owned by JunkNot and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content without our written permission.

9. AI and Automated Decisions

JunkNot Pro uses AI to automatically classify and block notifications. While we strive for accuracy, AI classification is not perfect. We are not liable for:

• Notifications incorrectly classified as spam and blocked
• Important notifications missed due to AI blocking
• Any consequences arising from automated notification blocking

You can review your junk folder and modify rules at any time to correct any misclassifications.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant that the App will block all spam notifications or that it will not block notifications you consider important.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JUNKNOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JunkNot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Play, RevenueCat, and Supabase. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Pro subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund for unused subscription time at our discretion.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which JunkNot operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JunkNot regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements.
